My family and I eat there frequently, never had that issue. Are you sure you were talking to the owner, or a drunken idiot pretending to be one. Sometimes that happens. But waiting 2 hours for wings, sounds way over exaggerated. I can see 20 minutes, if really busy. But I would have left after 45 minutes. Shoot if I'm hungry I'm not waiting around for 2 hours for only 8 wings. There's other places to eat. I'm not saying van's is the best hands down, but it's decent food. Now if van's isn't your thing, no problem. But don't tell ridiculous stories.

Sorry to hear you had a bad experience. However, when I went, I had excellent waitress and cashier I was our actual waitress. I had an excellent experience. Maybe time of day that you went? Just sayin'
